I was completely unopposed the entire time, so I was unable to experience any actual battles.

Hilariously, the game didn`t update the cities I left when I went to go conquer other cities, and as a result, by the time the game was finally won my kingdom had around 850 armies, only 5 of them weren`t mine. Of those that were, only 10 of them were even real. This problem goes away after a while if I click on a city I used to be in, but I wanted to be funny and decided not to do that.

At first, I was completely lost on how to even attack a city. The method to do so doesn`t really tell you that it`s how you attack a city. For those who want to know, just click on the city you want to invade, scroll below the map, and find your kingdom. Clicking the join button will move your entire army to the sidelines. I never tried joining for a kingdom I wasn`t a part of, though trying to do so in the full map screen lets you defect and teleport to a city of whatever kingdom you defected to. I`m not sure if it`s safe to let players defect an unlimited amount of times.

Apparently, the game is misleading when it comes to invasion times. It states 0:00-3:00 and 12:00-15:00 as the invasion times, but I`ve been able to invade until 4:00 {or 16:00 in the afternoon}. I don`t think a fixed time to attack would be better than the hectic times that our leaders chose to invade whatever kingdom back when this game actually worked. In the old 3k, if you simply weren`t available for your kingdom`s coordinated attack, you could still hop on sometime later and launch a rogue attack on a few squares whenever you had a chance to. With fixed invasion times, you can`t do that. Since I haven`t been able to fight against other players, I don`t know how viable it would be to try to sneak in an invasion of an occupied city while you`re busy with school, a job, or whatever so that you can actually invade, but I suppose not being completely devoted to the battle is going to result in a huge disadvantage that`s going to get you killed often.

Speaking of invasion times, by being completely unopposed, I was able to conquer an entire 2 kingdoms in a single invasion period. Maybe 3, but between accidentally sending my army in the wrong direction and the occasional ~game has stopped working~ messages I was unable to do that. Theoretically, a small group of players from the same kingdom can take their team from their original 12 cities to having conquered all of China within a few hours. As dangerous as this sounds, I suppose that if this were to actually happen, there would be players in other kingdoms opposing them by defending their own cities or attacking or something. Still, the idea seems pretty scary.

Another thing I`ve realized while invading was that there all the cities are within the same distance of one another. I can take my army in, say, Chengdu, and have them reach Liaodong in the same amount of time that it would take for them to reach Hanzhong. I can see that reinstating actual locations of cities so that you can`t teleport from the deep south to way up north might end up being a problem with the way the game sets players up... I think. If I understood correctly, only one player from the kingdom that owns the city can actually hang out in that city. So I suppose that players might get locked away from attacking anyone at all if a kingdom has enough players, which would suck, but there`s probably a way to let you just skip past your allied cities that could be added. Still, I do miss the frontlines and safer-than-the-frontlines areas that we used to have.

Then, there`s the terrain. Having nobody to actually go against, the most I can say about terrain is that it`s just there. It dissuaded me from launching my invasions from the north or south because my army would spent a while trying to climb the water or something. I`m guessing that, as a defender, a better defense might be to stay on the walls and prevent the attacker
